In the heart of the Dalmatian hinterland, where history and tradition weave together into a dense tapestry, everything is ready for the 311th Alka of Sinj. This magnificent chivalric tournament is the greatest pride of Sinj’s – a town that has safeguarded its cultural heritage for centuries.

In the shade of the tree-lined Alka racetrack, the Alka knights will once again display courage, skill, and dedication – an eagle’s eye and a steady right hand. Every moment at the Alka feels like an exciting journey through time, in which the present intertwines with deeply rooted customs and the spirit of the past that has shaped the identity of this region and beyond.

Beyond the sporting contest itself, spectators will also witness a vivid display of local culture – from richly adorned uniforms and folk costumes to traditional marches and authentic weaponry. The Alka festivities open with the Bara competition on Friday, August 7, followed by the Čoja on Saturday, and culminate in the magnificent 311th Alka on Sunday, August 9.

The town beneath Kamičak Fortress becomes a lively hub of celebration, hosting a range of events, concerts, and exhibitions, and creating an unforgettable experience for visitors. At every turn, an unmatched array of Dalmatian flavors awaits, while the streets come alive with the bustle of crowds.
